Analysis of Promotion Packages 1 - Arctic Monkeys. (CD & Digipak)

The CD and Digipak

This is the front cover of the album which as you can see is VERY simple. The black, bold writing does stand out on the white background but there is nothing else to look at on the front cover of this album which goes against the conventions of album covers because usually they have a picture or the band on the front of them but this doesn't even have the band name on the front cover.

This is the back of the CD and has the band name on but not the album name. The track listing is not numbered which again is quite unconventional. The track listing is in the same font as the front cover is and it has the record label on the bottom of it and their contact details.

This is the actual CD and follows the black and white theme of the CD cover. It has the logo of the band on it and the record company logo on but that is all.

This is the digipak in the CD case. It is in a different font to the front and back of the CD case and the tracks are numbered. The track name is underneath the number of the track which is then followed by the lyrics to each song.

In the middle of this there is a very wide angle picture of the band which has a yellowish filter on it, this is the only picture of the band on the whole album. The lyrics then continue after this until all 12 songs are done.
