Analysis of Ancillary Products - Adverts in Music Magazines.

Adverts in Music Magazines.

This advert would have been found in 'indie' magazines such as Q and NME. It has her album cover on it and the release date for all the different forms of the album; CD, deluxe CD, vinyl and digital. It also has the singles on the poster which will increase sales because people will recognise some of the songs from the radio. The colour scheme of this album cover is very dull but it fits with the sort of music that is on this album. The font 'Florence + the Machine' is written in is her widely recognised logo, but as this is her debut album not many people would have recognised it at the time.

This is the magazine advert for Arctic Monkeys - Humbug which again would be found in magazines such as NME and Q. Compared to the Florence and The Machine advert this is even simpler. It has 4 colours on it and it doesn't feature the album cover like the previous advert. You can make out the face shapes of all 4 band members in the purple behind the band name. Like all album adverts it features the name of album, the date and of course the band name. I think Arctic Monkeys like having simplistic adverts because they have such a big, distinguished fan base now they really don't need much to sell their album.
